Take the "Sion Ouest" motorway exit, continue in the direction of "Hôpital" and then follow the signs for "Centre de Transfusion". Parking spaces are available on site.

Donor eligibility check
Have you been ill in the last 4 weeks (e.g. fever, cold) or have you been in contact with sick people living in the same household?
Do you have small skin injuries, open wounds or cold sores?
During the past 4 weeks, have you taken any medicine (tablets, injections, suppositories) – including without prescription or have you received a vaccination?
During the past 6 months, did you travel outside Switzerland?
Have you had a tattoo or piercing in the last 4 months?
Have you changed your sexual partner in the past 4 months? Or have you had sexual contact (protected or unprotected) with more than two people in the past 4 months?
Have you had a tick bite in the past 4 weeks?
Have you had an operation or a gastroscopy in the last 4 months?
Note
We will check on site whether your blood pressure, pulse and haemoglobin values (indication of iron deficiency) are suitable for blood donation.
Thank you very much! You fulfil the most important criteria for donating blood. There is a good chance that you can give blood now.

If you have a cold, runny nose, sore throat or cough
You can give blood once the symptoms have subsided.
If you have a fever of over 38° Celsius or (gastrointestinal) flu
You can give blood 2 weeks after you have fully recovered.
In case of contact with sick persons in the same household
Whether or not you are authorised to give blood requires further clarification via the freephone number

Skin injuries can be entry points for bacteria and viruses. To protect blood recipients from these, small skin injuries must be closed, dry and not inflamed. Cold sores and larger wounds must be healed.
Medicine

Vaccination
There are waiting periods of between 48 hours and 4 weeks for a vaccination. Check your vaccination in the vaccination check, via the freephone number 0800 148 148 or via info@ichspendeblut.ch.
Check your travel destination in the Travel Check. In certain regions there is a risk of infectious
diseases such as dengue or malaria. Even if you take the best possible precautions when travelling,
there is a small residual risk that you may be infected without knowing it.
West Nile virus
We test your blood for West Nile virus from July to December. If you have travelled to regions where only the West Nile virus is present, you can give blood at our clinic during this time without a waiting period.
Unfortunately, you cannot donate at the moment.
You can give blood again 4 months after the tattoo or piercing have been done.
(Small) injuries occur during these treatments. These can be entry points for bacteria and viruses. A waiting period of 4 months applies so that inflammation or infection can be ruled out.
If you change partners (protected or unprotected intercourse), there is a risk of infectious diseases.
If you change partners (1 new partner), you can donate again 4 months after the change of partner.
If you have had more than 2 new partners in the last 4 months, you can donate again 12 months after the last change of partner.
Unfortunately, you cannot donate at the moment.

Surgery

Gastrointestinal endoscopy
Unfortunately, you cannot donate at the moment. You can give blood again at the earliest 4 months after the gastrointestinal endoscopy.
